Growing up isn’t easy. But for some youth in our community, it’s a daily battle for survival searching for a place to sleep, a meal to eat, or simply someone who cares. At StandUp for Kids Oceanside, we stand up so they don’t have to stand alone.
We’re on the streets. We’re in the schools. We’re at the table offering a hot meal and real connection. Since 2001, we’ve shown up for homeless and at-risk youth across North San Diego County meeting them where they are, with no judgment and unwavering support.
We focus on building trust and stability one youth at a time. Here’s how we show up:
Outreach
Our volunteers walk the streets weekly in Oceanside and surrounding cities, offering basic supplies and life-saving connections. We meet kids right where they are — with snack packs, hygiene kits, clothing, referrals, and open hearts.
Mentoring & Youth Development
We provide consistent, one-on-one mentorship for youth ages 12–24. Mentors walk alongside youth as they build life skills, reach educational goals, and imagine brighter futures. We also host workshops on topics like money management, employment readiness, and self-care.
Housing Support
Through referrals and case management, we help youth navigate housing options from shelters to transitional and permanent housing. We advocate with them, not just for them, so they feel empowered every step of the way.
