Roadmap to Success
The Roadmap to Success (RMTS) program supports youth in need in the Orange County school system by providing basic needs, school tutoring support, and ongoing mentoring to build trust and loving, caring relationships with our youth. This program seeks to create a framework for positive relationships while fostering effective communication and decision-making skills.
Three times a week in 14-week rotations during the school year, mentors connect with youth to:
- Increase high school graduation rates, college entry, vocational training, and purposeful employment.
- Provide a space where the youth can meet and consider it a safe place, while providing mentors, tutors, and role models to promote stable and healthy mentor/youth relationships.
- Assess the individual needs of youth and connect them to resources as needed
- Teach youth soft skills to include, but not limited to communications, healthy decision-making, self-motivation, leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills to attain Emotional Intelligence.
- Teach youth hard skills to include, but not limited to resume writing, interviewing, organizational, mathematic and writing skills to reach goals such as graduation and employment attainment.
