StandUp For Kids Gets Extreme Makeover

Apr 10, 2017

By Justine Palmore

Great news! Our online home at has had an extreme makeover.

We just launched an entirely new website to better serve our homeless youth community. It’s our gift to our youth, as well as our programs, donors, volunteers, and policymakers.

Volunteer leaders, staff and donors complained about the old site, especially how hard it was to find information and to navigate. We agreed! The old technology made it difficult to view on your phone. They also shared ideas for things they would like to see on a new website. We listened! We are confident that you will find the new site to be a huge improvement.

Here’s what you can now do on the new website:

Who We Are – Learn about our mission, youth, volunteers, staff, donors and Board of Directors; read our financials; and contact us.
What We Do – Read about our impact and services.
What’s New – Check out our blog, figures and trends and social media.
Where We Are – Learn about our programs across the United States and access their websites.
How to Help – Learn how to donate, volunteer and stay connected

You can now easily…

Today is just the launch. We will be adding fresh content regularly so that you can find all things StandUp For Kids on the site.

Tell Us What You Think

We hope that you enjoy and use the new website! You can share your feedback on our Facebook page or by emailing us.

Volunteers, Staff, and Donors Provided Leadership

We also thank our Website Committee who volunteered their time for the last 12 months to this project: Eddy Ameen, Mike Zelnio, Brian Haslip, Juanita Mitchell, and Justine Palmore. Their guidance and expertise were crucial to our success. We also thank our donors, including Lime Studios for making this possible and underwriting the creation of the new site.

Share the Link and Raise Awareness

After you have perused the site, share it with your friends and coworkers. There is great information to share about youth homelessness and the wonderful youth we serve. Together, let’s tell everyone about StandUp For Kids!
