Meet the Board: Tim McCormick

Family, Leadership, and Giving Back

At StandUp for Kids, we’re lucky to have incredible people leading the way. People who care deeply about our mission and about the young lives we serve. One of those leaders is Tim McCormick, our Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.

Tim is one of those rare leaders who balances a successful career with a genuine passion for helping others. With more than 20 years of experience in operations and management, he currently serves as President of LA Hydro-Jet and Owner of Zip Marketing Solution. His professional background is full of accomplishments – building strong teams, improving processes, and driving growth across industries – but what really stands out about Tim is his heart for service.

He’s been part of the StandUp for Kids family for several years, acting as Treasurer and now as Vice Chair. He also continues to lend his expertise on the Finance Committee, helping ensure our organization runs smoothly and responsibly. But for Time, it’s never just about numbers or strategy. It’s about the kids.

When we asked him what keeps him motivated to give his time and energy to StandUp for Kids, his answer said it all:

“As a father, a husband, and a business leader, I believe every child deserves the safety, love, and support of a family. Volunteering with StandUp for Kids is a way for me to help create that foundation for youth who need it most – because no child should ever feel forgotten.”

Family is at the center of everything Tim does. He lives in Southern California with his wife and their four children, and even with a full schedule, he always finds time to show up for his community. His compassion, integrity, and servant-hearted leadership make a real difference. Not just within our board, but in the lives of the young people we serve every day.

We’re so grateful for Tim’s steady guidance, his big heart, and his belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and loved.

Thank you, Tim, for all you do to help us stand up for kids.
