While I steadfastly believe that we continue to find some of the greatest kids in the world living on the streets. I’ve also come to learn that some of the greatest kids in the world are going to the streets and helping them, showing unbelievable courage and commitment, not giving up or giving in. And, I stand in awe.

Rarely does a week go by that I’m not deeply touched by these young people who refuse to let street kids eat out of dumpsters. I’ve had the privilege of seeing them make the impossible possible. And, I stand in awe! I’m proud that I’ve had the opportunity to witness hundreds of young people who refuse to let their generation die in the streets.

It took me a long time to get used to seeing street kids cry when we had to leave. And, now I struggle when I see our counselors hold street kids and cry with them. I know you’re doing great things. To say I was extremely proud would be an understatement.
