Our continuous work with kids has been acknowledged by the
Honorable U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg, Senator’s
Tom Daschle and Bill Nelson, The White House, JC Penny, etc.
We also appeared in the recent book “50 Ways To Save
Our Children.” We made a commitment to caring about
kids, and we go to the streets & prove it!
50 Ways To Save Our Children
In June 2002, STANDUP
FOR KIDS was
highlighted on the first page of the book, 50 Ways To Save
Our Children, by author Cheryl Saban.
JCPenny Golden Rule Award
In 1994, STANDUP
FOR KIDS was
awarded the JCPenny "Golden Rule Award" for their
work with the homeless and street kids in the sewers/storm
drains in El Cajon, California, over a 14 month period!
Allstate Poster
- Allstate published their poster showing 98 ways to volunteer
in '98! They are still just as important in 1999 and will
be in 2000. Allstate specifically mentions different organizations
for their employees to get involved in. STANDUP
FOR KIDS is
extremely proud to be one of those organizations!
U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services
(2001) - STANDUP
FOR KIDS selected
as an organization serving homeless people. In addition to
federal programs and government consultants who work to assist
homeless health care providers, we were highlighted as a national
organization with information and communication components
that coincide with the interests of homeless health care providers.
