StandUp-A-Thon

FOR KIDS challenges contestants to StandUp For Kids this summer and participate in our StandUp-A-Thon.
Participants will express their interest for STANDUP
FOR KIDS by standing up.
The three participants who stand the longest will win a prize.
Pedal Power
The next time you or your team heads out for
a ride consider the fact that you could be raising awareness
and funds for STANDUP
FOR KIDS.
Consider Steven Blumenfeld in New York who turned his 300
mile bike ride into a fundraiser and with the help of family
and friends raised more than $3,000 for homeless and street
kids.
Steven’s
web page:
He had several others who built similar pages to support
his ride. Basically, on one team ride, each team member could
have their own page. We’ve found that donors will support
family and friends more readily than a team event. It isn’t
about the distance, but about the number of donors you can
get!
If you or your team would like to do a “bike
ride” for us, please send an email to Bike@standupforkids.org.
We will help you with the words for the bike ride and then
build the web donation pages for the team and/or individual
members.
It is best if we have 4+ weeks notice, so that
the team members have time to send emails to their family
and friends to get the donations before the ride starts. We
can help in the creation of those emails too!
So, the next time the TEAM
RIDES, help us help America’s
homeless and street kids. Let’s make a difference in
the lives of kids who live on our streets. We need your help.
STANDUP
FOR KIDS
The mission of STANDUP
FOR KIDS
is to help homeless and street kids. This mission shall be
carried out by a national volunteer force whose on-the-streets
outreach efforts will find, stabilize and assist homeless
and street kids in their efforts to improve their lives. The
organization's mission shall also be furthered through deterrence
and resource programs provided in schools and via the internet.
All facets of this mission shall be guided by the mandate
that our volunteers shall tell kids they care about them and
then, at every turn, prove it.
