48 Hours On the Street Campaign

In honor of the nationwide 48 Hours on the Street Campaign, the Tacoma Chapter is working hard to let Tacoma know about our program and our kids. On Saturday, April 25th at 11 AM, our volunteers will be running an informational booth on Pacific Avenue in front of the UW Tacoma bookstore. Stop by for information about our program and how you can help or get involved. Look for our 13 candles, which we will light in honor of the 13 kids that die each day on the streets.

On Sunday, April 25th our volunteers will conduct a march through downtown to raise awareness of our Tacoma program. Look for our purple shirts and thirteen purple balloons, honoring the thirteen youth who die each day on the street. If you see us, stop and say hi, or just honk your horn to show your support for street youth and Stand Up For Kids!

If you’d like to get involved with 48 Hours on the Street or Stand Up For Kids in any way, don't hesitate to e-mail us at tacoma@standupforkids.org
