Volunteers getting ready for their
first training class... Welcome to the Team!

There are a number of things that you can
do and many ways that you can get involved with STANDUP FOR KIDS-DALLAS. Would you like to be a street counselor?
Can you keep books? Can you write grants? Are you a natural
leader? Do you have other skills you'd like to put to use
helping the children of our community?
Street Counselor
We have an extensive and dynamic training program that
gets you ready to work with the homeless and street kids.
About
20 hours of jam packed "action filled" street stories,
do’s and don’ts, and role playing. And, this
is all free! Our National Training Manual is now
being used in a number of other programs and states to
teach volunteers
how to work with and help homeless and street kids.
Being a street counselor is a big commitment. You're committing
to 3 hours a week; you're committing to six months or more;
you're committing to making a difference in the life of numerous
children. It's not an easy path, but it is a rewarding one.
Contact dallas@standupforkids.org for more information.
