Co-Executive Director
Agata Clevenger


Agata joined StandUp For Kids in the summer of 2005 and was the first member of the Philadelphia chapter. She currently serves as the Co-Executive Director and has been closely involved in the growth of the local organization from its inception.

In her full time role, Agata is a Senior Associate in the Philadelphia office of Korn/Ferry International where she is a member of the firm’s Life Science Practice and leads recruitment efforts for senior executive management functions. Prior to joining the firm, Agata worked in corporate finance for Johnson & Johnson where she successfully graduated from Financial Leadership Development Program.

Agata holds a B. S. in Economics and International Business from the Fox School of Business & Management, Temple University. For her academic and social work she was awarded a prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Scholar title.

A native of Poland, Agata has lived and worked internationally and traveled to over 30 countries. She is involved in a number of philanthropic initiatives including pro bono board development efforts for arts organizations. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor sports, theatre, cooking and reading.

Co-Executive Director
Barkha Saxena



Barkha joined Philadelphia chapter as Co-Executive Director in July 2007. She grew up in northern part of India and came to United States in 2000 to attend school. After her graduation from UC Santa Barbara, she joined Fair Isaac Corporation in San Francisco bay area as an analyst. Currently she is a Lead Consultant in Analytics - Sales unit based out of Fair Isaac’s Delaware office.

During her move to Philadelphia in July 2007, her search for an organization that worked to improve lives of unprivileged children led her to Stand Up For Kids-Philadelphia and she immediately joined the organization.

She is also an External Career Management Liaison at Wharton Social Impact club. In this volunteer role, she is responsible for various initiatives to help club members in their career pursuit in areas with direct impact on society.

Apart from working on her volunteer role responsibilities, she enjoys hiking, walking, cooking, reading, traveling and watching movies.

Director of Outreach
Elizabeth Eisenhart


Elizabeth has been with SUFK Philadelphia since May of 2006 and began as an outreach counselor. After completion of the training she and two other current outreach counselors began regular street outreach in Philadelphia on a weekly basis. As the group grew, Elizabeth stepped up to the function of the Director of Outreach. In this role she leads all street outreach activities and is an integral part of the team. She is proud to share, that the outreach teams have regular outreach and are successfully developing relationships with street and homeless kids.

Professionally, Elizabeth is the contract coordinator for all MSN programs with the College of Nursing and Health Professions in Philadelphia’s own, Drexel University. She has been with Drexel since October of 2005. Elizabeth has a Bachelor degree in Political Science and Journalism from The Pennsylvania State University.

Outside of work and StandUp for Kids, Elizabeth loves reading, playing poker, traveling, and working out. She has a strong passion for social justice and loves being part of an organization committed to helping street and at risk youth. You never completely know the impact of your actions and StandUp for Kids greatly embraces this ideal.

Elizabeth resides in North East Philly with her boyfriend Brian, a Sprinkler Fitter by day, a rugby player and coach at all other times, and Rugby, their very handsome 12 year old dog.

Manager of College Recruitment
Kim Ledgister


Kimberly Ledgister is currently the Manager of College Recruitment for Stand Up for Kids, as well as a student at LaSalle University majoring in Biology and Spanish. She has participated in many on campus activities including: Neighborhood tutoring, and Aids Outreach, as wells as other volunteer programs such as Hospice Care and Bethany Cares: Freedom School.

At a young age she knew that her passion lay with helping others. Thus, her goal became to become not only a doctor, but a humanitarian. Through her unique upbringing she has acquired an understanding of cultures not her own as well as the need to address injustices of all kinds. And as a member of Stand Up for Kids she is dedicated in her role in bringing hope, support, and understanding to the youth on the streets. She exercises her dedication by organizing meetings, networking in order to gain support for the organization, and working as a part of a larger team motivated by their love for helping others.

Director of Adult Training
Sharon Richardson


Native of Australia, Sharon moved to the United States in April 2007 to take up a position as a Learning Specialist in the manufacturing division of a major pharmaceutical company. The move allowed Sharon to make a change in both her professional and personal life.

Upon her arrival, Sharon started looking around for an organization where she could give something back to her new community. She was introduced to Stand Up for Kids through another StandUp For Kids volunteer, and after attending an informational session she decided to join. She is looking forward to working with everyone within the organization and has trained with our outgoing Director of Training, Joanne, to transition the responsibilities.

Sharon enjoys traveling, exploring new areas of Philadelphia, reading, movies and music just to name a few.

You will have an opportunity to meet and train with Sharon if you decide to attend one of our outreach trainings!

Director of Resource Development
Angela Heim


As the Director of Community Resource Development, Angela works to develop continuing support from the local community. She interfaces with social service providers and fosters collaborative relationships with community agencies that provide services to runaway, homeless and street-dependent youth.

During regular business hours, Angela works for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a manager of the national Citizen Corps Program, at the regional level. Throughout her career, Angela has specialized in community, industry and government relations, and has expertise in policy development and analysis, advocacy, marketing, and public relations, as well.

Angela has a law degree from the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University and a B.A., with honors, from the University of Pittsburgh. She has lived in Philadelphia since 2005. When she is not educating citizens about community preparedness or the needs of street youth, Angela enjoys adventures with her fiancé Matthew and their dog, Tasia (pronounced “Tay-zah”). Eating, creating, playing basketball, camping and water activities are some of their favorite pastimes, and all three prefer Pete’s (in Fairmount) over Pat’s, Gino’s, and Jim’s!
