The mission of STANDUP
FOR KIDS is to help homeless and street kids.
We do this, every day, in cities across America. We carry out our mission through our volunteers who go to
the streets in order to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and street kids improve their lives.

Hello Everyone !
November is Youth Homeless Awareness Month
Did you know 90% of homeless youth suffers some kind of abuse and no youth wants to beg or steal to get by? November is our chance, as folks committed and concerned about youth on the streets, to draw some attention to the cause we care so deeply about.
On November 21st, 2008,
Stand Up for Kids Philadelphia,
is delighted to partner with
Dark House Philadelphia
to promote awareness of our homeless youth
on the streets.
Get to know people in your community, help homeless and at-risk kids and have fantastic time - all in one day!

On Saturday, April 29th, 2006 the Philadelphia chapter of STANDUP FOR KIDS officially launched in “the city of brotherly love,” via the Turn Purple Campaign.

On October 12, 2006 the Philadelphia chapter of STANDUP FOR KIDS held its first fundraising event -- a happy hour and silent auction -- at a local restaurant.

A group
of Philadelpia beased Drexel students decided to be
a part of an alternative spring break program by helping
StandUp For Kids. After their intial training with
the Philadelphia chapter, they took off for their
week long trip to sunny San Diego, CA. Read

We have many great leadership opportunities for dedicated leaders. We are currently recruiting for following positions -
- Director of Corporate Relationship and Funds Development
- Director of Program Support
- Co-Executive Director
- Program Manager
- Outreach Counselors

click here for a description. If none of the above positions suits your interest, please contact us. We are working on many initiatives and are certain that we will be able to identify a volunteer opportunity of your interest.
