A Commitment To Kids On The Streets!

In nineteen cities in the United States, our volunteers walk the streets looking for homeless and street kids. We tell them that we care and we want them back!

The National Runaway Switchboard reports that there are 1.3 million runaway and homeless youth in the United States!

Some people believe that kids are on the streets because they want to be.

Life on the streets is tough. Here are some hard facts about life on the streets:
1)Within 48 hours of leaving home, 42% of the kids become involved in prostitution just to survive!
2)There’s almost no way for kids to survive on the streets without breaking the law-every day!
3)According to the National Runaway Switchboard, 5,000 runaway and homeless youth die each year of assault, disease, and suicide. That’s 14 kids every day!
4)Life on the streets is a deadly game with no rules!
5)62% have attempted suicide at least once!
