Mission Beach Woman’s Club (MBWC) were excited to raise money for STANDUP FOR KIDS – San Diego with a Sock Hop Benefit and Kickoff to the MBWC year. Eighty-six guests and members attended and the benefit raised $800 and donated a large box of clean socks for San Diego homeless kids. The group held a hula-hoop contest, danced to oldies and wore costumes. They even had a Soda Shoppe when guests needed a break from doing the hand-jive!  Jeannie Mershon, President of MBWC said, “We are so proud of the work you and your team are doing to help homeless kids! We are grateful for any opportunity we have to send donations your way. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!”
