Rick Koca, Founder and CEO of STANDUP FOR KIDS, presents the 2005 National Leader of the Year, to Juanita Erickson and Vicki Shepherd. Juanita and Vicki volunteer as the Executive Directors' of STANDUP FOR KIDS in Oceanside, California. Vicki and Juanita have been volunteering for more than four years and have built an
unbelievable program!
Their leadership led to the Oceanside program services to homeless and street kids, and at-risk youth through an outreach center and an "on the streets" program. The program provided more than 1,800 meals to kids and an additional 1,134 food boxes to kids.
The Oceanside program has become highly respected and honored in the NorthCounty area. This is attributable, in large part, to the daily leadership of Juanita and Vicki.

The Oceanside Center is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Street Outreach
Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
STANDUP FOR KIDS - Oceanside needs your help. We
have an outstanding group of volunteers, but need
so many more. Our volunteers are 16 to 60 and a
great group of individuals. We will train you to
work with the kids and help them begin to make positive
changes in their lives.
