was established in April of 2005. Beatriz Barajas became executive director as of January 2007. The chapter is run by a handful of dedicated volunteers who’s mission is to help homeless kids and at-risk youth in the community of Long Beach.

The program has undergone tremendous change under the leadership of executive director Beatriz Barajas. The program has turned a corner, with fundraisers as well as food, clothing, and hygiene drives being conducted by local businesses, social groups, and churches. However, as our base has steadily grown, so have our scope and our potential for helping the homeless youth of our city. Consequently, our need for passionate volunteers has never been greater. More dedicated Outreach Counselors are still in great demand, as we look to expand our schedule to cover all corners of our city at all times, to ensure that no young person is left alone on the streets of Long Beach. If you are willing to make a commitment as an outreach counselor, please, apply now.
