Wish List
Serving our homeless and street kids requires not only people, but also money and material goods. Consider supporting us by donating a needed item or by volunteering your time to help us obtain them.
How you can help Cincinnati Kids!
Our program provides Apartment support to kids who are off the streets. Our objective is to help the kids with creating a peaceful living environment that will allow them to relax and focus on their goals.
We help them by providing food supplies, household items such as furniture, appliances, and decorating needs. Our counselors work with the kids by providing support classes and working with the kid’s one on one in their own environment.
We could use your help! You can help by donating furniture, household items, or food. Please contact Cincinnati@standupforkids.org.

Services In Kind
Top 10 for the STANDUP FOR KIDS Cincinnati program:
- A Laptop Computer and Laser Printer. We provide many training sessions for our volunteers and document and monitor all our homeless and street kids. We keep a database on our clothes, furniture and food. The cost of a new system with printer is approximately $2,000.00
- Outreach Van and Truck. An outreach van would help us get to the streets, and to bring our kids to events and appointments. The same vehicle time after time would help the kids to realize that we are looking for them. We're there for them! Outreach is the thing that we do - a van would help us do that! A truck would allow us to get donations to kids new apartments.
- A Photocopy Machine. We create, print and distribute booklets to the kids that let them know of other homeless services in their area. In addition we print other materials such as marketing materials that we take to schools, fliers to recruit new volunteers, and invitations for kids to come to social events.
- Food and Drinks. We go to the streets and deliver bag meals to the homeless and street kids. Donations of snack bars, crackers, water, juices or other items that are easily distributed on the streets are needed.
- Hygiene Products. The homeless and street kids depend on us to bring them products that allow them to clean up and blend more into society. Our biggest need is for deoderant and tampons.
- Sponsors for Social Events. We want to allow the kids to escape the harshness of everyday life on the street by creating opportunities for the kids to attend social functions such as: picnics, pizza parties, movies, swimming, sports games, and etc.
- Portable printer. In order to protect the kids that we serve, all of our volunteers submit to a background investigation, including providing a copy of their driver's license. In order to expedite the process a portable printer could be brought to our training sessions. Estimated cost is $250.
- Fast Food Coupons. Most kids on the streets have no money for food. During the fall and winter fast food coupons allow the kids to periodically get a hot meal. We could use about $50.00 worth of fast food coupons each month.
- Cash Contributions. While we have no salaries to pay, we do have expenses, for office supplies, educational materials and marketing. We also still pay for most of the food that we give to kids.
- Volunteers. Volunteers run our entire organization. Our program could use help in the following areas:outreach, leadership, marketing, fundraising, and obtaining supplies, such as food and hygiene products.
Maybe you have wondered where STANDUP FOR KIDS Cincinnati gets its funding to operate.
Well, nearly all of our money comes from individuals who send us a check from time to time. We do fund raising activities, and our volunteers are actively pursuing grants from corporations and foundations, but the response time for these can be long.
