THE NEWS
48 HOURS
Each year during the last weekend of April, STANDUP FOR KIDS volunteers throughout the country hold our 48 hours event. The purpose of the event is to raise community awareness about youth homelessness and child abuse (leading cause of youth homelessness), to raise funds, and more importantly having our outreach counselors spend time with our kids.
Our Raleigh program has the following events planned. We hope that you will support us in this event.
April 25th
7:00 pm- 9:30 pm

Come join us for an evening full of fun, laughter, delicious food, and a great cause!! Live music!! Learn more about youth homelessness and how we assist these youth!
We will be selling Belk Charity Tickets and raffling off prizes.
Belk Charity Ticket price $5.00.
April 26th
Late morning - Evening
Letting our kids be kids for a day!
Interacting with our kids, letting them be kids for a day!!
We want to treat our kids by letting them be kids for a day....go-karts, laser tag, arcade games, healthy hot meals. You can help by purchasing a Belk Charity Ticket to help to defray the cost and allow our kids to experience what being a kid is all about; an experience that most of these kids have been denied.

S&R Communications Group in Durham.
Our Raleigh Program would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to S&R Communications Group in Durham. They held a creative re-gifting holiday campaign to raise funds for three local nonprofits. StandUp for Kids was one of the proud recipients of a donation for $1650.00. Thank you, S&R Communications Group, for caring about the homeless youth in our community. Your generous donation will provide much needed support for our kids!!
The Church of the Good Shepherd
for opening your hearts to our kids. They have opened their food kitchen doors for us to host our monthly hot meal donations. Thank you!!
Great Human Race
A special Thank you to the following Volunteers: Michelle, Rebecca, Laura U, Peg and Kathleen. They raised $779.20 at the Great Human Race. Laura U, Wade (Laura's brother) and Kathleen participated in the 5K walk while Tami manned the STANDUP FOR KIDS table...thank you for caring so much about our kids!! A special Thank you to everyone who supported our kids by donating.
