Host a Sunday Meal!

This is a great opportunity for a team, group of friends, or family to do a one-time volunteer service (4 - 8 people).

Every Sunday, the Denver team coordinates a warm meal for the homeless youth of Colorado. We rely on groups of volunteers to prepare, bring and serve the food. Our turn out of kids on a Sunday is anywhere from 30 to 50, so we ask that enough food is prepared for about 50 people.

Does this sound like something you'd want to help with? It's easy to sign up HERE! After signing up, you will be contacted with additional details.

The Search is on. Volunteers NEEDED!

StandUp For Kids is an all volunteer program, so for us to be there for our homeless kids, we need your help! If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved e-mail us.

Upcoming Events

On this night during outreach, we ran into one of our youth and sat down with him for an hour and had a heartfelt, empowering conversation with him. He explained how he had been on the streets for as long as he can remember, forced to be there after aging out of state foster care.

We walk the streets every week; sometimes we don't find or reach our youth at all, but sometimes we connect-and that is one more kid we can help get off the streets!

THIS is what outreach is about: we find our youth we help, stabilize and most importantly, we CARE.

StandUp is off and running!

Run with us at the Colfax Marathon.

StandUp For Kids - Denver is participating in this year's Colfax Marathon to be held the weekend of May 16-18. Come run with us and choose StandUp For Kids as your Charity Partner. (If you have already signed up to run and did not choose a charity, go back and add StandUp For Kids as your charity choice).

To learn more about the Colfax Marathon races and to sign up to run, go to: http://www.runcolfax.org/. One can run for StandUp in any of the Colfax events - full marathon, half marathon, 10 miler, marathon relay or 5k (Runners, walkers, the disabled, and parents with strollers).

Runners may choose to raise money for Standup (their chosen charity) by asking friends and colleagues to sponsor you at so much ($) per mile or simply donating an amount of money to StandUp For Kids. The Colfax marathon web site provides assistance for this endeavor: http://www.runcolfax.org/our-charity-partners/.
