Trevor K. Ross (Atlanta) Chairman - Executive Committee

Trevor is an associate with the law firm of Hunton & Williams LLP. His practice focuses on the representation of issuers and underwriters, placement agents and initial purchasers in public and private equity and debt offerings of all kinds in a broad array of industries, with a particular focus in the real estate, financial services and specialty finance industries. His practice also includes merger and acquisition transactions, representing buyers and sellers in both public and private transactions, as well as providing general corporate, securities and corporate governance advice to public company clients.

Trevor holds a B.B.A. in accounting and finance from Mercer University. He also holds a J.D., cum laude, from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. While at Mercer, Trevor served as the Articles Editor of the Mercer Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.


Chuck Braddock (Atlanta) Treasurer - Executive Committee

Chuck has over 20 years of experience in the public accounting field focusing primarily on audit services. He is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Atlanta. During his career, he has provided audit services to both public SEC registrants and private companies in a number of industries including, not-for-profit, governmental, healthcare/lifesciences, consumer finance, insurance, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and retail and consumer package goods.

Chuck has also volunteered and served on committees for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Cancer Society, his local church and Mississippi State University.

Chuck is a 1987 graduate of Mississippi State University. He has both a bachelor and masters degree in professional accountancy from Mississippi State.

Chuck is married to April and lives in Georgia with their four children, Ashton, Addison, Avery, and Parker.


James Thurman (Louisville) Member Secretary - Executive Committee

James Thurman is a Semi-Retired Independent Investor. Jim is an active investor in Real Estate throughout the country and enjoys traveling with his wife Denise.

He was Co-Founder and CEO of Thurman & O'Connell Corporation, in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1998 he Co-Founded IES (NYSE) Integrated Electrical Services, Inc in Houston, and serviced as Senior Vice President until retirement in 2001.

Jim served on the Board of Directors of Independent Electrical Contractor Association in Washington DC from 1994-2002. He was elected National President in 2000-2001. He Co- Founded the IEC Foundation in 1996, established to educate men and woman in the Electrical Industry. He served on the IEC Foundation Board of Trustees from 1996-2002 and served as Chairman from 1996-1999. He served on the Board of Directors for STANDUP FOR KIDS from 2002-2004, and served as Chairman in 2003.

Jim and Denise live in their Destin, Florida and Louisville, Kentucky homes. Together they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.


Thomas (Tom) Reiman (Chicago) Member

Tom Reiman is the retired Sr. V.P. Public Policy of Ameritech. Tom had previously served as Ameritech's Sr. V.P. of State and Government Affairs; President of Product Management and New Product Development and President & CEO of Indiana Bell.

Tom has served on the Board of Directors of more than 20 not-for-profit organizations, including as a past board member of StandUp For Kids. Tom has been recognized for his service by the State of Indiana, The Indianapolis Education Association, The Carmel, Indiana City Schools and The Ball State University School of Telecommunications.

For the past eight years, Tom has been a Business Management Professor at The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

Tom and his wife of 38 years, Wendy, reside in Highland Park, IL. They have a daughter, Dr. Amanda Reiman and a son, Scott Reiman, who both reside in Oakland, CA.


Rick Koca (Denver) Founder

Rick is a retired naval officer. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and for the next 30 years proudly wore his Navy blue uniform. During his career he was promoted 13 times through 17 pay grades. A highly decorated naval officer, Rick was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, two Joint Service Commendation Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals, three Navy Achievement Medals, as well as numerous service awards and commendations. He is qualified in Submarines and an Air Crewmember and entitled to wear both warfare insignias.

During his 30-year career Rick served in a variety of locations and positions -- from the frozen harbors in Alaska to the rain forests of Panama. In Europe, he flew with the USAF as a Battle Staff Team member aboard the European Airborne Command Post. In Panama, he was the Adjutant General to the U. S. Commander in Chief, U.S. Southern Command.

Rick has been awarded the George Washington Honor Medal, by Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, for his work with homeless and street kids; and was singled out by the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership as a finalist for the year 2002 Edward A. Smith Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership for exemplary voluntary leadership. In San Diego he was awarded the Channel 10 Leadership Award. In 2006 and 2007, Rick was selected by Civic Ventures as a Purpose Prize Fellow, a leader in a new age of social innovation.

Rick was the CEO of STANDUP FOR KIDS for the first twenty years, building it, with all volunteers, to become the largest nonprofit organization in America to help homeless and street children.

Rick has three children, seven grandchildren, and a great grandson who reside in Aurora, Colorado.


Tom Hayden (Chicago) Member

Executive Director, StandUp For Kids Chicago

Tom Hayden is a faculty member at Northwestern University's Medill School, teaching graduate courses in the Department of Integrated Marketing Communications. Prior to his faculty appointment, Tom served as Executive Vice President and General manager of Chicago operations for Bozell Worldwide, a global marketing communications company. Tom also served on the Bozell board of directors. Tom currently serves on the board of the Oakmark mutual funds, the Chicago International Charter School, and is the executive director of StandUp For Kids Chicago.

Tom received his BA (1973) and JD (1977) degrees from Saint Louis University. He lives in Wilmette, Illinois with his wife Louise. They have three grown children.


Kelly Fields (Atlanta) Member

Executive Director, StandUp For Kids Atlanta

Kelly Fields is the Executive Director of StandUp For Kids in Atlanta, Georgia. Kelly has 15 years of non-profit experience coupled with 11 years in corporate human resource with companies such as the Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Bausch and Lomb and Novell. Kelly's non-profit service began with her selection by Georgia-Pacific to be the Loaned Executive to the Olympic Committee Organizing the Games in Atlanta (ACOG) in January of 1995. Following the Olympic Games in August 1996, she went on to work with United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Atlanta, and The Georgia Transplant Foundation. She has worked with a wide variety of volunteer groups, community partners and corporations to implement new programs, develop resources and train volunteers. Kelly started her work with SUFK in November of 2010.


André C. Wade (Washington, D.C.) Member

Policy and Program Analyst

Areas of Expertise: Youth, Child Welfare and LGBT issues

André Wade is a Program and Policy Analyst with a focus on youth who are runaway and unaccompanied, exiting or formerly in foster care, and LGBTQ. André has worked in social services for over 13 years providing and coordinating services to at-risk families in and out of child welfare, youth on probation and school-aged children with developmental disabilities. From 2008 to 2010 he was on the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) All Children-All Families Advisory Council, which focuses on equity in the recruitment of LGBT foster/adoptive parents. Currently, André is on the national Board of Directors for StandUp for Kids and has been on the Advisory Board of the Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center (RHYTTAC) since 2011. André is from Las Vegas where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.


Justine Madison (Orange County) Member

Executive Director, StandUp For Kids Orange County

Justine Madison has served as Executive Director of StandUp For Kids Orange County since October 2008. She is responsible for over-seeing the daily operations of the organization including: personnel, financial affairs, marketing, fundraising, program management and program development. Justine's goal is to gain and maintain loyal support, develop key coalitions, and build crucial relationships for the organization. Prior to her appointment as executive director, Justine dedicated over 2 years to StandUp For Kids as both the Director of Marketing and Outreach Supervisor. Under these titles, she juggled brand marketing, volunteer recruitment, development and retention, community and media relations as well as leading a team of outreach volunteers and seeing youth clients. Justine worked as a program coordinator with Bridge of Hope, another nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting at-risk youth through life skills workshops and tutoring. Her hard work and devotion to this cause have been attributed to one simple fact: "I love kids," Justine said, "I feel this is my purpose in life."

In addition to her work in the Human Service field, Justine is the owner of a small business bookkeeping service and previous owner of both an executive search firm and boutique clothing store.

Justine holds her Bachelors Degree in Human Services and her Associates Degree in Family Services.


Terilyn (Teri) Burg San Diego Member

Executive Director, StandUp For Kids San Diego

Terilyn is serving as the Executive Director of the San Diego Chapter of StandUp For Kids. Teri enjoys the opportunity to speak about the issue of homeless kids on the streets, most recently in Beijing, China.

Terilyn has been recognized by Fordham University Opus Prize Awards, Soroptimist International of San Diego Ruby Award, Classy Awards, San Diego Unsung Hero, StandUp For Kids Executive Director of the Year.

Teri and her husband, Rupert live in San Diego, enjoy family vacations and are the parents of 3 grown children and 13 grandchildren.
