StandUp For Kids - NOLA is a brand new chapter of this fantastic national non-profit. We hope to become a well known name throughout the community and need support in doing so. We are currently looking for volunteers and sponsors who are interested in helping with our mission statement in any way.

Don't Run Away Program
These volunteers will work hands on, inside the local school system. Don't Run Away Program involves local volunteers performing brief presentations for classes to educate elementary and middle school children on the dangers of running away and of safe alternatives to be removed from.
BackPack of Hope Program
The goal of this program is to distribute backpacks full of a weeks supply of non-perishable food and hygiene products to homeless students in the New Orleans area. We work with other organizations in the city to make this a successful program. These volunteers will help collect donations, pack the backpacks, and distribute them.
We are looking for someone to fill this volunteer position to help organize, expand, and oversee the programs that StandUp For Kids NOLA is developing.
Community Resource Development
These volunteers work on building lasting relationships with other community service agencies. Tries to build partnerships with other local non-profits. Works on research and survey information.
These volunteers help identify appropriate sources of funding and executes strategies to secure needed funding. Grant writing.
Public Relations & Marketing
Responsible for maintaining a positive public image within the community. Prepares all media and public press releases. Works with the Executive Director.
