StandUp For Kids - Orlando is an outreach program to help locate and assist homeless and at-risk kids on the street in our city. This is what we do and we do it every day.
Statistics show that either the vast majority of the youth we serve have been ejected from their homes or left with their parents' or guardians' full knowledge, and most are running from horrifying situations that most of us cannot even begin to comprehend. Once on the streets, they are consistently exposed to the harshest scenarios imaginable: prostitution, theft, physical violence, drug abuse, incarceration, depression, exposure to the elements, hunger and widespread disease are daily realities for these kids. Unfortunately, for them this represents their best, or only, option.
Local Program Mission
StandUp For Kids provides community support services to youths up to the age of 24. StandUp For Kids provides important services in order to improve the general quality of life for youth. It helps youth meet their survival needs and offers a social support network. The program seeks to provide youth with access to a preventative safety net of medical care, meals, housing, and a safe place from street life.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN MANY CAPACITIES!
We are an all-volunteer program, so we need volunteers to fill every role! Whether you have a few hours a month, a few hours a week or a few hours a day we are confident that we can put your skills to good use. We are looking for "hands on" Outreach Counselors, Administrative and Leadership Support and Leadership Candidates. Water Day with Coalition for the Homeless
On July 23rd we had the honor to join Coalition for the Homeless on their Water Day for the kids at the shelter.
It was a great day filled with tons of water balloons, water guns, water slides and pizza donated from Lil Ceasers.
This was a day to take the kids away from any problems they might be going through and have a fun day with no worries.
The event was put together by a volunteer at Coalition who just wanted to give back.
Our team was great full to be a part of this event and hope that the kids enjoyed it and remember that there are people out there that do care.
Sweets For Your Feet!
This was a great experience where we were able to partner with a Underground clothing company straight out of Orlando, FL called Diversitile Custom Clothing, for one of their block party events.Â
August 20th was a day filled with people, music, raffles, graffiti art, shoes and a lot of support for our organization. We were also granted twenty students from Rollins College to come and help us set up for their Service Day project. During this event, we were able to meet many people and inform them about StandUp For Kids and also raise money for our organization.
Clean Up For Kids Event!
On Sept 24th we had a Donation Drive/Fundraiser with American Stor All to provide not only us but other organizations with any supplies needed.
The day was filled with Raffles, Food, Giveaways and Activities for the Kids. We have been getting help from all areas to put this event together with American Stor All providing the space, Advance America providing a Bounce House and Cake in the City selling cupcakes.
